GMO crops Worldwide Video: GMO crops grown in Michigan
November 24, 2009
I am posting this video because there has been recent discussion about the prevalence of GMO crops grown in Michigan. Michigan’s big GMO crop is sugar beets, followed by soybeans. The crops are modified genetically to allow farmers to spray their entire fields with the herbicide Round-Up. Round-Up sprays are designed to kill the weeds but allow the food crops to grow and be ingested by people. Great, so now we are eating food crops that survive herbicide sprays. In any case, the first 5 minutes of the video are compelling, the next 5 for the dedicated.
