The Veteran Vision Project: A Photography Student Examines the Complex Lives of Our Veterans

March 4, 2015

A picture speaks 1,000 words, or something of the sort is behind this project whose goal is to take 10,000 photographs of our nation’s veterans. A student wants to demonstrate the duality of living the life of a veteran, or an armed services member, with the personal aspect of a family, a religion, a personality that lives outside that service.

In a sensitive, and I would call, loving, movement, photographer Devin Mitchell hopes to capture our nation’s veterans and heroes as people, people who are also soldiers. Devin Mitchell has a funding page. He is raising funds to travel across the country to do this, and you can watch that below. What I find most interesting about Devin is that he found the humanity in our armed services, and humanity is always worth watching.
